Mahdi Shahparasti

Mahdi Shahparasti received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Birjand University, Birjand, Iran, in 2007. Mahdi obtained its M.Sc. degree and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, in 2010 and 2014.

From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Shahparasti was a R&D researcher with the Iranian Research Institute of Electrical Engineering, JDEVS Company in Tehran, (Iran) designing medium and high power converters for distributed generation and motor drive systems. 

Since 2015, he has been with the Renewable Electrical Energy Systems research group at the Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona (Spain) as a R&D researcher.

His main research interests include wind turbines control, integration and control of distributed generation and motor drive systems.
