Mostafa Abdollahi

Power Systems

Mostafa Abdollahi received the B.Sc. and M.Sc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Power & Water University of Applied Science and Technology, Shiraz, Iran, 2007 and University of Isfahan (U.I), Isfahan, Iran, 2011 respectively. He joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Department at Islamic Azad University (IAU) of Bandar-e-Lengeh as Lecturer in Electrical Engineering (Power & Energy Systems) in January 2012, where he became the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and then Head of Education & Student Office and Finally Head of Research and Technology Office. He lectured B.Sc. courses such as Power System Analysis I & II, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and several Academic Lab & Workshops.

In parallel with Teaching and Research, he has been CEO of Niroo Sanat Bastak (NSB) Co.  from  2013 to 2015. In addition, He has worked as Project Manager and Research Assistance in Several Application Project with Public companies such as Esfahan Regional Electric Company (E.R.E.C), Hormozgan Electrical Distribution Company (H.E.D.C) and has worked as an Academic Advisor in some graduate student projects at prestigious universities such as Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), all in IRAN from 2012 to 2015.  

He has coauthored several papers in ISI, ISC and international journals and conferences. He is contributing as a frequent reviewer to IEEE conferences in Asia. His research interests include Power Systems and Electrical Engineering topics such as Power System Dynamics Operation & Control, Power Market, Traditional Power Plants and also Dispersed Energy Resources, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, Design & Control of FACTS devices, Transmission & Distribution Networks and Intelligent Computational Methods in Power System. 

Currently he is studying towards his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering in the Research Center on Renewable Electrical Energy Systems (REES) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
