As part of a collaborative project SEER has studied surge protection for PV systems, which analyzed the behavior of various safety devices that limit the risks caused by power surges, minimizing their impact.

SEER also designed a low cost monitoring system to register, store and process the electrical variables at the point of connection, allowing remote monitoring of harmonic spectra, RMS values, average and peak and have a log of failures.
