Abstract

The main objective of the project is the search for optimal solutions to the massive integration of wind turbines in the power grids of the future (weak and emerging networks) by investigating the technologies necessary for the development of a competitive equipment of advanced features that allow wind integration, required to achieve a sustainable economy.

To achieve this shall achieve the following specific objectives:

  • Development of a conversion kit equipped with a system of controls to operate in problematic networks, and submit massive integration of wind power.
  • 90% reduction of the influence on the equipment of complex anomalies detected in modern weak networks.
  • Increase by 20% the average global availability of integrated turbines.
  • Increase the overall energy efficiency of wind integration by 30%.
  • Increase the team's contribution to the stability and control of the network.

This Project has been funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, in agreement according to the provisions of Article 31 Regulation of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Subsidies, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006 of 21st  of Julye 887/2006 of 21st of July
