Abstract

The project aims to deepen the study of harmonics in industrial and commercial facilities, both in terms of how certain loads contaminate by injecting harmonics and how they are influenced by them.
It is intended to make measurements in the laboratory considering distorted voltages applied to non-linear loads such as fluorescents, single-phase transformers and rectifiers. These measures can be very interesting to refine and improve models of distorting loads and parameters.
This project also faces the study of harmonic models under conditions unbalanced three-phase loads such as three-phase rectifier with capacitive filter and transformer.
The experience and knowledge acquired in the harmonics filed during the project, are to be synthesized in the creation of a program-oriented harmonic passive filter design, where simplicity prevails in the models and takes into account the variation of parameters. Finally, it will be designed and built an active filter harmonics. This issue is of great current interest, both scientific and industrial.
Expected results include both contributions to the knowledge of the behavior of loads against voltage harmonics and their influence on the point of connection. Experimental measurements with distorted voltages and the design and construction of a harmonic active filter will consolidate the study conducted in the project.
