Abstract

The power filter based on a four-leg star connection for simultaneous cancellation of current harmonics with positive, negative and zero sequence consists of a shunt power filter design of current four-wire three-phase networks. This filter has a star topology of four branches star, allowing you to have two different types of different and simultaneous resonance frequencies: for power components of forward/ reverse sequence and other for homopolar power sequence. The different resonance frequencies can be fixed in the design phase through proper selection of the elements of the resonant cells that constitute the branches of the filter. The power filter based on a four-leg star connection for simultaneous cancellation of current harmonics with positive, negative and zero sequence can work as pure passive filter when only used reagents are used, or as hybrid filter elements, when their behavior improves by using a power electronic converter.
