Abstract

In this paper a sliding mode controller for the stator voltage amplitude of a stand-alone woundrotor synchronous generator is presented. The standard dq-model of the electrical machine connected to an isolated inductive load is obtained. Then, a control law is designed in the framework of sliding mode control. The controller introduces a dynamic extension so that the stator amplitude relative degree is one. Numerical simulations are also presented to validate the presented control law.
