On 4th of March of 2015 Catalin Gavriluta, from the PhD program of Electrical Engineering of the Polytechnical University of Catalonia, reads its PhD thesis "Control and Operation of Multi-Terminal VSC-DC Networks" under the supervision and tutorship of Pedro Rodriguez Cortés and in front of the jury composed by Antonio Gomez Exposito, Professor of the University of Sevilla, Massimo Bongiorno, specialist consultant at Gothia Power AB and Arnau Doria-Cerezo, Associate professor at the Polytechnical University of Catalonia. 

Catalin has been qualified with an Excellent Cum Laude for its thesis "Control and Operation of Multi-Terminal VSC-DC Networks"
